Humanitarian Visit to Kyiv

During our recent visit to Kyiv, our team personally witnessed the extremely difficult conditions many residents are facing today.

We distributed food aid parcels to vulnerable people, and the situation we saw with our own eyes was truly heartbreaking. The city is filled with generators, and electricity is available only two to three hours per day at best. Many people travel up to five hours just to reach a place where they can receive a warm meal — two to two and a half hours each way.

While we were in the city, an air-raid alert sounded. The metro between the left and right banks was operating only as a shelter and not as transport. Because of this, people arrived around forty minutes late for lunch. For some, this meal was the only hot food they had that day.

In many homes, the temperature is close to zero degrees. People often have no possibility to cook or even reheat food. Some have been sleeping in their outdoor clothes for weeks — in jackets, hats, and even ski trousers. Warm clothing and sleeping bags are extremely difficult to find, as second-hand and low-cost shops have been almost completely emptied.

Despite these hardships, the gratitude of the people who received food parcels was overwhelming. Some cried with relief and joy, knowing they would have food for the next few days. These moments reminded us how vital every act of support truly is.

This winter has been one of the coldest and snowiest in recent years, making living conditions even more severe for the most vulnerable.

We sincerely thank everyone who continues to support this mission. Every contribution makes a real and visible difference in people’s lives.

Supporting the Most Vulnerable During Challenging Times

In these extremely difficult times for Ukraine, our foundation has been able to provide humanitarian assistance in the form of food parcels to those who need it most.

The support was delivered to the most vulnerable groups of the population, including:

  • elderly people, living on the brink of poverty with no family support,
  • large families,
  • families raising children with disabilities,
  • people affected by military actions,
  • families of fallen Ukrainian defenders,
  • visually impaired children,
  • people with disabilities and individuals recovering from heart attacks.

Humanitarian aid was provided in Zhytomyr, Ovruch, Yemilchyne, Zviahel, Berdychiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kyiv.

Special attention was given to bedridden and seriously ill people who were unable to collect the aid themselves due to their health conditions. Our volunteers personally visited them at home and delivered food parcels directly to their doorsteps.

Through this initiative, we were able to support people who are currently enduring extremely harsh living conditions caused by Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, including prolonged power outages and a lack of heating.
